Bucket Filling!
Hello Everyone!
We have been so busy here in Kindergarten. Here is what we got up to last week...
We went on a letter hunt using old magazines and newspaper. Students looked for and cut out letters in their name which they then glued together in their autobiographies :)
Also, while learning about how everyones name has a meaning, we shared a very special story with the students called, "Chrysanthemum". Below is the online version. Feel free to watch!

Nature Patterns / Bead Patterns
Students used a variety of materials to create their own patterns. We started with pinecones and sticks, and then colourful beads. If you have any beads or any loose parts at home, ask your son or daughter to make you some patterns that they've been practicing in class! :)
Autobiography
Our autobiographies are coming along really nicely! Most recently, students had the opportunity to share with the class what their name means and who chose it. Students also documented this information in their books which you will eventually get a chance to see! We promise! We went on a letter hunt using old magazines and newspaper. Bucket Filling
Students have been learning how to be bucket fillers, not bucket dippers!
We started by reading the book:
Then, students did a guided drawing of their own bucket (shown below)
Ask your child for the example they shared with how they are a bucket filler :)
Have a great week! And remember, No School this Friday!
Sincerely,
Room 1 and 2
